The monitoring station coupling device is used within a PROCONTROL distribution station.
The processor of the distribution station exchanges information with the coupling device. It receives permission from the coupling device to carry out the data transfer and reports the end of the transfer cycle to it. The release of the data transfer depends on certain conditions in the overall system.

The module has six LEDs on the front to indicate detected interference, including module internal and system interference, and can also show whether data transmission is in progress on the connected bus system. It usually operates within the standard voltage range of the Procontrol P14 system and has a standard interface to the master station bus, as well as an interface with the coupling module of the monitoring station (88UB01, 88UM01) and another redundant master station.
